The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued recalls for over 1.2 million Anker Power Banks, RYOBI Cordless Hedge Trimmers, Bugaboo Giraffe High Chairs, Oliver & Smith Mattresses, Endless Pools’ manual retractable pool covers, and Mammut Sports Group’s Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata Sets due to various safety hazards.
Anker Innovations is recalling 1.16 million Anker PowerCore 10000 power banks due to fire and burn risks. The lithium-ion battery in the power bank can overheat, leading to potential hazards. Anker has received reports of fires, explosions, minor burn injuries, and property damage totaling over $60,700.
TTI Outdoor Power Equipment is recalling about 113,000 RYOBI 40V 24-Inch Cordless Hedge Trimmers due to a laceration hazard. The hedge trimmer blade can unexpectedly activate after pressing just one control, resulting in injuries. Consumers are advised to return the trimmer for a free replacement.
Bugaboo North America is recalling 18,280 Bugaboo Giraffe high chairs due to a fall hazard. The legs of the chair can detach from the frame if not properly assembled, leading to injuries. Consumers should stop using the highchairs and contact Bugaboo for a free repair kit.
Agro Superior Group LLC is recalling 16,530 Oliver & Smith Mattresses for violating federal flammability standards. The mattresses pose a fire hazard due to non-compliance. Consumers can receive a free fitted cover to bring the mattress into compliance with safety standards.
Endless Pools is recalling 11,500 manual retractable security pool covers due to drowning and entrapment hazards. Improper installation can leave a gap between the cover roller and pool surface, posing risks. Pool owners should contact Endless Pools for a free inspection and repair.
Mammut Sports Group Inc. is recalling 580 Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata Sets used for climbing due to a fall hazard. The carabiner can open without engaging the safety latch, potentially leading to serious injuries. Consumers are advised to stop using the sets and contact Mammut Sports Group for a refund.
