DIA Leads Friday ETF Flows with $422M in AUM Gains

U.S.-listed ETFs saw $2.4 billion in net inflows on May 30, with U.S. equity, fixed income, and international equity categories all receiving new money. The SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust and Vanguard S&P 500 ETF were top gainers, while thematic funds like First Trust Dow Jones Internet Index Fund also attracted investors.
Investors showed interest in defense-related themes with the Select Stoxx Europe Aerospace & Defense ETF. Meanwhile, the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF benefited from the demand for long-duration Treasurys as yields remained high.
However, outflows were led by the iShares Russell 2000 ETF, struggling due to recent small-cap underperformance. The Invesco QQQ Trust and iShares 3–7 Year Treasury Bond ETF also experienced redemptions.
