Etihad Airways partners with Western Global Airlines to expand freighter service to China and London with a Boeing 747-400. The delayed service is set to begin, increasing Etihad Cargo’s weekly rotations to China to 17. Western Global emerges from bankruptcy to aid Etihad’s cargo division.

The partnership between Etihad Airways and China’s SF Airlines is set to expand under a capacity-sharing agreement. The agreement aims to enhance connectivity and increase cargo capacity, efficiency, and service range. The joint venture focuses on supporting the movement of high-value electronics, sensitive equipment, and pharmaceutical goods.

Etihad Cargo plans to strengthen its presence at Ezhou Huahu Airport with additional flights and new routes. The cargo division introduces a high-tech label for real-time shipment tracking, offering customers detailed information on location, temperature, and more. The smart label will be available via the Etihad Cargo website and mobile app starting in October.
