NVIDIA and the European Broadcasting Union team up to advance sovereign AI for European public service media. The collaboration aims to provide access to high-quality cloud and AI technologies for over 110 member organizations in 50+ countries, reaching an audience of over 1 billion. The focus is on building sovereign AI and cloud frameworks to create a more equitable and resilient European media landscape.

Through the partnership, NVIDIA and the EBU will develop hybrid cloud architectures to meet European public service media standards. This includes Dynamic Media Facility and Media eXchange Layer architecture for interoperability, scalability, and cost-efficient AI training and inference. The goal is to enable personalized services and content recommendation systems with transparency, accountability, and cultural identity.

NVIDIA is also providing resources from its Deep Learning Institute to train European media organizations for AI readiness. The collaboration involves investing in local data centers and cloud platforms to support sovereign technologies like NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchip and RTX PRO Servers. The aim is to achieve secure, cost-efficient AI training while promoting AI research and development.
