Experienced tech finance leader Tarek Robbiati named CFO of Pure Storage

Tarek Robbiati, a veteran global tech finance leader, has been named as the new CFO of Pure Storage, replacing Kevan Krysler. Pure Storage reported a narrower net loss of $13.99 million in the fiscal first quarter, with revenue rising 12% to $778.5 million year-over-year.

Robbiati previously served as CFO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Sprint, leading turnaround efforts. Pure Storage CEO Charles Giancarlo praised Robbiati’s experience across compute, networking, and storage, stating he is an ideal choice to help lead the company’s evolution.

Robbiati also served as RingCentral’s CEO for a brief period and has a background as an associate partner at Accenture and a senior equity analyst at Lehman Brothers. He holds an MBA from the London Business School and other degrees in business administration and nuclear physics and electronics.
