Fintech firm Chime begins IPO roadshow

US-based fintech firm Chime has launched its IPO, offering 32 million shares of Class A common stock. Chime is selling 25.9 million shares, with existing stockholders offering 6.1 million. The firm’s estimated valuation is around $11bn, a significant decrease from 2021. The IPO price range is set at $24-$26 per share.
Chime filed for an IPO last month and will list on Nasdaq under “CHYM”. Net proceeds will fund corporate purposes, potential acquisitions, or investments. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and J.P. Morgan lead the offering, with Barclays as an additional book-running manager. Other participants include Evercore ISI and UBS Investment Bank.
