General Dynamics Secures $396 Mln Contract To Modernize IT For U.S. Special Operations Command

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a unit of General Dynamics, has secured a $396 million IT enterprise contract to support U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). The contract, awarded in April, includes a one-year base period with four option years. GDIT will provide adaptable IT services to modernize SOCOM’s networks, enhance communication for Special Operations Forces (SOF), and implement AI solutions for operations and cybersecurity. Brian Sheridan, GDIT’s senior vice president for Defense, highlighted the importance of digital capabilities for mission success. On Friday, GD stock closed at $283.00, up 1.10%.
