Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and concerns over the U.S. trade dispute led to a 1.2 percent drop in the CAC 40 index, currently trading at 7,674.12. Only 3 stocks are trading above the flatline, with TotalEnergies leading gains at 1.5 percent. Accor saw the biggest decline at 3.8 percent. The dollar index rose to 98.40, causing the EUR/USD pair to slip 0.62 percent to 1.1513. Yields on France’s ten-year bonds spiked to 3.218 percent.
