Golden Arrow Resources has finalized an option agreement with Latin Metals to acquire a 100% interest in the Huachi copper-gold property in Argentina. Latin Metals can earn a 75% interest by spending $1m in exploration and $1m in cash payments. Future funding will be proportional to each party’s stake for continued collaboration.
The agreement marks Golden Arrow’s third project to be optioned in Argentina. Latin Metals has a 90-day top-up right to acquire the remaining 25% for a $2m cash payment. If declined, a joint venture will be formed with Latin Metals holding 75% and Golden Arrow retaining 25%.
Huachi spans 3,500 hectares and is prospective for copper and gold. Exploration work and cash payments will begin after environmental permit approval. The property is adjacent to Latin Metals’ Esperanza copper-gold project in San Juan Province. Golden Arrow president Nikolaos Cacos sees success on these projects as beneficial for shareholders.
