Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company announces year-over-year increases in IPP revenue, power production, and generation capacity. Construction on the 674 MW Cider solar project in New York is underway and expected to generate 1 billion kWh of power in its first year of operation.

Wind and solar PPA revenue increased 17% year-over-year to $39 million, driving total operating revenue of $48 million. Power production increased 14% across combined wind and solar fleets, generating 676 million kWh in the first quarter. The company’s operating fleet expanded by 3%, adding 41 MW of additional total generation capacity.

Construction on the Cider solar project in New York continues, with major activities underway in Genesee County. The project, expected to be the largest solar farm in the state, is projected to generate approximately $100 million in revenue for local communities and support hundreds of clean energy jobs. Cider is set to enter commercial operation in late 2026, producing around 1 billion kWh of power in its first year.
