Hexagon, a leader in measurement technologies, unveils AEON, a humanoid robot developed with NVIDIA to assist in industrial tasks like manipulation, asset inspection, and reality capture. AEON uses NVIDIA’s three computers for training and optimizing AI models, with plans to utilize Jetson Orin for autonomous operation and IGX Thor for safety features.

AEON showcases advanced skills learned through simulations powered by the NVIDIA Isaac platform, allowing for rapid development and deployment in just 2-3 weeks. The robot will be used in factories and warehouses to scan parts and assembly lines, integrating captured data into Hexagon’s Reality Cloud Studio for collaboration and visualization in the cloud.

By leveraging NVIDIA’s platforms, Hexagon aims to streamline workflows for customers and accelerate the adoption of digital twins in various industries. AEON’s integration with NVIDIA Omniverse and sophisticated sensor suite enables efficient data capture and collaboration, shaping the future of physical AI and real-world data processing.

Hexagon plans to use the OpenUSD framework and Omniverse to create high-fidelity digital twins from scanned data, establishing a data flywheel to continuously train AEON. This collaboration with NVIDIA is driving scalable solutions for industries reliant on real-world data capture, paving the way for more efficient and innovative industrial applications.
