International Resources Holding (IRH) is set to acquire a majority stake in Alphamin Resources, purchasing 56% of outstanding shares from Tremont for C$503.3m ($367m). The deal is subject to approvals and aligns with IRH’s strategy of investing in high-quality mining assets. Post-transaction, IRH will hold 56% of Alphamin’s shares. Tremont will retain a 0.8% stake. The acquisition will be executed through a block trade on a stock exchange. Tremont Chairman Rob Still expressed satisfaction in transferring ownership to a long-term investor who shares their vision for the operation. This move follows IRH’s discussions last year to acquire an indirect stake in Alphamin Resources. Denham Capital, the private equity firm owning 57% of Alphamin, has been exploring options to hold this stake.
