Kellanova stock outperformed S&P 500 with 36.3% climb, but dipped YTD

Kellanova, a large-cap company with a market cap of $27.3 billion, offers a variety of snacks and convenience foods like Pringles, Cheez-It, and Eggo. Despite a recent 5.5% slip from its 52-week high, the stock has seen a 36.3% climb over the past year, outperforming the S&P 500.

Shares of Kellanova have dipped 2.8% YTD, but climbed 36.3% over the past 52 weeks. The stock has been trading below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages since mid-June, despite positive growth in emerging markets.

In May, Kellanova reported Q1 results with revenue at $3.1 billion, down 3.6% YoY, and adjusted EPS at $0.90, a 10.9% decline from the year-ago quarter. Compared to rival General Mills, Inc. (GIS), Kellanova has shown better performance.

Analysts are cautious on Kellanova’s prospects, with a consensus “Hold” rating from 16 analysts. The mean price target of $83.17 suggests a potential upside of 5.7% from current price levels.
