JBS SA, the meat producer, began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “JBS,” with an opening stock price of $13.65 per share, leading to a market value of around $30 billion, surpassing Tyson Foods’ market capitalization of $19.8 billion. The listing comes after JBS’s delisting from Brazil’s São Paulo exchange and the Batista brothers’ return to the board following a corruption scandal. With $77.2 billion in revenue and $2 billion in net income last year, the company aims to use U.S. capital markets for expansion while addressing past controversies.
