A TikTok crypto trader was kidnapped in France and released after the abductors realized he couldn’t pay the 50,000 euros demanded. The 26-year-old was taken while returning home, beaten, and forced into a stolen vehicle. He showed his low account balance to the kidnappers and was let go. French police investigate the incident.

Crypto kidnappings are on the rise in France, prompting the interior minister to meet with crypto entrepreneurs. Recent incidents include the attempted kidnapping of a CEO’s family members and a 7 million euro ransom plot. French police have made arrests related to these cases, including a key figure in a series of crypto-related abductions. Paris prosecutor’s office has charged 25 individuals connected to these plots.
