Swedish fintech Klarna is launching a new debit card in the United States to compete with traditional banks. Partnering with Visa, consumers can pay immediately or choose interest-free options for online and in-store purchases. The company paused its IPO plans due to global market uncertainties, with a pilot launch in the U.S. before a broader rollout in the U.S. and Europe. Klarna’s debit card will be issued by WebBank in Utah, offering different tiers for discounts and cashback rates in aubergine, black, and bright green colors.
