From Nasdaq: 2025-06-01 19:03:00
On Friday, the South Korea stock market fell as the KOSPI closed just below 2,700 points. Concerns about tariffs and a production hike by OPEC+ led to a soft global market forecast. The KOSPI was down 0.84%, with the financial sector providing some support. Among active stocks, Samsung Electronics rose while LG Chem and Hyundai stocks declined. In the U.S., the Dow rose slightly, the NASDAQ fell, and the S&P 500 was nearly unchanged. President Trump’s trade agreement comments impacted U.S. markets, while consumer prices in the U.S. rose slightly in April. Crude oil prices also dropped due to tariff uncertainty.
