Lowe’s Companies has finalized the acquisition of Artisan Design Group for $1.325bn, aiming to strengthen its relationship with professional contractors amid a softening US housing market. ADG, headquartered in Dallas, operates 132 facilities across 18 states and employs over 3,200 staff. Lowe’s CEO Marvin Ellison highlighted ADG’s industry-leading position and strong customer satisfaction scores. The acquisition is expected to drive growth in a $50bn market. Lowe’s, generating over $83bn in sales in 2024, operates 1,700 stores and has 300,000 employees. Financial and legal advisors facilitated the deal. Additionally, Lowe’s partnered with Mirakl to enhance its e-commerce marketplace.
