Mandalay Resources Corporation has received approval from the Australian Foreign Investment Review Board for its acquisition by Alkane Resources Limited. The last regulatory approval needed for the transaction was obtained on June 26, 2025. The Supreme Court of British Columbia has also granted an interim order authorizing the special meeting of Mandalay shareholders to vote on the transaction on July 28, 2025. The transaction is expected to close in early August 2025, pending final approval from the Court and shareholders. The Board of Directors unanimously recommends voting in favor of the transaction. The merger aims to create a diversified mid-tier gold and antimony producer, enhancing shareholder value and financial strength.
