MAPFRE USA has appointed Mark Pasko as its new executive vice-president, general counsel, and secretary. Pasko will oversee legal, regulatory, and government affairs in the US, along with compliance, state filings, and corporate governance. He brings experience from his previous role as chief legal officer at QBE North America.

Pasko, who holds a law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School, a master’s degree from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, is expected to support MAPFRE USA’s strategic goals. The company operates as a holding company for multiple property and casualty insurance companies.

MAPFRE USA president and CEO Jaime Tamayo expressed excitement about Pasko joining the leadership team.
