The Avalanche blockchain hit over one million daily transactions twice in a week, the first time since February 2024. The spike was driven by MapleStory Universe, a Web3 gaming ecosystem on Avalanche. Before this, daily transactions rarely surpassed 500,000 in 2025. Veteran game developer Nexon is involved with Avalanche and holds 1,717 BTC.

MapleStory Universe, developed by Nexon, introduced Nexpace Coin (NXPC) as its primary currency. Despite initial excitement, NXPC’s value has dropped 64% since its all-time high shortly after launch. Avalanche has been gaining momentum in Web3 gaming, especially with the launch of shooter game Off The Grid. The native AVAX token has seen fluctuations in value, trading at $20 after reaching $54 in December.
