McDonald’s snack wraps are set to return to U.S. restaurants next month after being discontinued in 2016. The popular item will be made with McCrispy Strips and come in spicy and ranch flavors to cater to customer demands.
CEO Chris Kempczinski is optimistic about the return, as the market shows consumer interest in the product. McDonald’s aims to expand its chicken offerings to compete with fast-growing chicken-centric chains like Chick-fil-A and Popeyes.
The comeback of McDonald’s snack wraps could spark a new chapter in the ongoing “chicken wars”. Popeyes has also introduced its own Chicken Wraps, wrapped in a biscuit-inspired tortilla, to rival McDonald’s offering for a limited time.
