Microsoft has laid off hundreds of employees in a cost-cutting move, following a recent round of job cuts. More than 300 employees were notified of their job loss on Monday, as reported by Bloomberg. This comes after Microsoft announced 6,000 layoffs last month.

In June 2024, Microsoft had 228,000 employees. This is not the first time the company has implemented layoffs, with 10,000 job cuts announced in January 2023. These cuts included staff from the HoloLens augmented reality headset unit and other hardware projects.
