Oakglen Wealth Holding, a subsidiary of Oakglen Group, acquires Jersey-based financial planning firm Homebuyer Financial Services (HBFS). HBFS, regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission since 1988, provides expertise in financial planning. The acquisition expands Oakglen Wealth’s services to include financial and retirement planning alongside wealth and investment management.
As part of the deal, HBFS managing director Michael Barney and director Marzena Dziewulska will offer advisory support during the transition. The acquisition aims to ensure service continuity for HBFS clients, with all staff members staying with the company. Oakglen Group’s head of Wealth Management, Jamie Crawford, expresses excitement about the extended services and maintaining core values.
Oakglen Wealth emphasizes personalized investment management services. In a recent collaboration with Toscafund Asset Management, they introduced an inheritance tax solution with an Alternative Investment Market portfolio service. The acquisition of HBFS was reported by Private Banker International, a GlobalData owned brand.
