Pernod Ricard is restructuring its business into two main divisions, Gold and Crystal, in response to declining sales in key markets like China and the U.S. The company plans to cut costs by 1 billion euros by 2029, with recent job cuts in China due to anti-dumping duties on their Martell cognac. The restructuring, known as “Tomorrow 2”, will involve bundling administrative tasks and likely lead to job departures. Rival companies like LVMH, Diageo, and Remy Cointreau are also adjusting growth expectations and making cuts to their workforce and sales targets in response to the post-COVID sales slowdown.
