The Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM) surpassed $50 billion in assets under management in less than four years since its launch. QQQM, known as the “cheaper QQQ,” charges a 0.15% expense ratio compared to QQQ’s 0.2%. Despite a small fee difference, QQQM has outperformed QQQ with a total return of 86.5% since its inception.

Investor demand for QQQM has been strong, with $8.8 billion in net inflows so far in 2025 and $17.1 billion over the past 12 months. Meanwhile, QQQ has also seen significant interest, attracting $8 billion in year-to-date inflows and $22.3 billion over the past year, maintaining its position as one of the largest ETFs globally with nearly $340 billion in assets.

While QQQM is favored by buy-and-hold investors for its lower fee, QQQ remains dominant in liquidity, making it the preferred choice for traders and institutions seeking flexibility or hedging tools. Both ETFs benefit from the popularity of the Nasdaq-100 index, which includes tech-heavy stocks and major names from other sectors like consumer discretionary, healthcare, and industrials.

With the ongoing demand for mega-cap tech stocks, both QQQ and QQQM continue to be essential tools for investors looking for concentrated exposure to the sector’s top performers.
