Shares of U.S. renewable energy firms had a mixed performance in early Monday trading after the U.S. Senate advanced President Trump’s tax-and-spending bill. The final version preserved tax credits for solar leasing, boosting solar panel maker First Solar by 7.1%, battery firms Sunrun by 7.8%, and Fluence Energy by 3.1%. However, not all renewable stocks benefited, as shares of Enphase fell 2.3% and NextEra Energy declined 5.8%. Analysts believe the Senate bill has mixed implications for solar-linked clean energy stocks and caution that market reaction may remain subdued after weeks of volatility.
