Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced the company will withdraw its cross appeal against the SEC in the XRP token legal battle. The move aims to bring resolution to the years-long dispute over XRP’s security status. A judge previously ruled in favor of XRP sales on public exchanges but found violations in institutional investor sales. Both sides attempted to settle, but the judge rejected their request to lower the $125 million fine imposed on Ripple. The SEC declined to comment on the latest development.
