An auction of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht’s personal belongings raised over $1.8 million worth of Bitcoin. Items included pre-arrest personal effects and prison memorabilia. Ulbricht’s final prison ID card sold for 11 BTC. A collaborative painting by Ulbricht and a fellow prisoner fetched 1.01 BTC. Bidders had to deposit 1% of their bid as collateral. Final payments due by June 2, preferred in Bitcoin.

Ulbricht may have access to approximately 430 BTC, worth around $47 million, from dormant wallets likely tied to him. These wallets have been inactive for over 13 years and were never seized by authorities. Blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence confirmed the wallets’ connection to Ulbricht. One wallet alone holds over $9 million in BTC.
