French multinational Saint-Gobain acquires Denmark-based Maturix, a real-time concrete monitoring solutions provider, enhancing its digital construction chemicals platform. Maturix’s wireless sensor technology allows remote monitoring of concrete properties, cutting construction cycle duration and improving job-site efficiency. The move strengthens Saint-Gobain’s digital offerings in the concrete and cement value chains. Customers can now benefit from reduced overdesign and optimized operations. The acquisition follows Saint-Gobain’s deployment of Verifi, its digital in-transit concrete management suite across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, offering real-time monitoring capabilities to minimize waste and boost operational performance. Maturix’s technology is expected to complement Verifi’s system, optimizing concrete placement on construction sites. Since 2019, Maturix and Saint-Gobain have collaborated successfully, developing a joint product offering. Earlier this year, Saint-Gobain completed the acquisition of FOSROC, a construction chemicals company, solidifying its position in the global market and enhancing capabilities in the construction chemicals sector.
