Sensex, Nifty Snap Three-day Losing Streak

Indian shares surged on Friday as concerns over a U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict eased. President Trump indicated he would give Iran a final chance to end its nuclear program before deciding on military strikes. Oil prices dropped after Trump’s comments on potential negotiations to ease tensions in the Middle East. The S&P/BSE Sensex rose 1.29 percent, while the NSE Nifty index gained 1.29 percent, supported by lower oil prices and foreign institutional investors’ buying. The market breadth was positive, with mid-cap and small-cap indexes also increasing. Top gainers included HDFC Bank, NTPC, and Reliance Industries.
