Sensex, Nifty Subdued In Cautious Trade

Indian shares were subdued as investors digested Trump’s trade deal declaration with China and impending tariff rates. Rising oil prices due to U.S.-Iran tensions added to inflation concerns. Sensex was down 60 points at 82,454, while Nifty slid 35 points to 25,104. Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, Infosys fell over 1%, while Bajaj FinServ, Sun Pharma, Asian Paints rallied 1-2%. Sterlite Technologies surged 14% on a Rs 2,631-crore BSNL contract. RailTel climbed 1.2% on a Rs. 119.49 crore order from Southeastern Coalfields. Hindustan Copper rose half a percent on announcing a Rs. 2,000-crore investment plan.
