Circle Internet priced its upsized U.S. IPO at $31, raising $1.05 billion. The offering valued the company at roughly $8 billion on a fully diluted basis. The IPO follows a period of market uncertainty caused by shifting trade policies. Circle’s IPO marks a significant event in the cryptocurrency sector’s push towards traditional finance. Founded in 2013, Circle is the issuer of USDC, the second-largest stablecoin. Circle will start trading on the NYSE under the symbol “CRCL” on Thursday.
