The stock market had a strong start in June, with the S&P 500 gaining 1.6% in the first five trading days, its best start since November. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also rose 1.2%, its best start since November as well. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 2.4%, but had a better start in December.
