Alphawave recommended Qualcomm’s offer of 183p/share. Oxford Ionics agrees to $1.1bn takeover by IonQ. Spectris shares surge 69% after £3.7bn Advent proposal. UK companies sought by US for better valuations and liquidity. Wise, Deliveroo, and Darktrace among UK companies taken over by US rivals. Other UK companies like Ashtead and Indivior also moving listings to the US. Alphawave started trading at 410p/share but mostly traded below since IPO. Alphawave CEO sees takeover as opportunity for expansion. Qualcomm considering offer since April, sees Alphawave as complement to its technologies.
