Jennie Baernreuther has resigned as Managing Director of The Glenturret Scotch whisky distiller after a year. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity and highlighted the people at the company. Baernreuther plans to relocate to the Cotswolds for a new career direction after a period of “garden leave.” The Glenturret is co-owned by Lalique Group and Hansjörg Wyss.

The Glenturret distillery, renowned for its single malts, has not yet named a successor for Baernreuther. Lalique Group and Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss formed a 50/50 joint venture in 2019 after Lalique chairman Silvio Denz acquired the site. In addition to whisky, The Glenturret also produces The Aberturret gin. Just Drinks sought comments from The Glenturret and Lalique.

Lalique Group, which co-owns The Glenturret, also owns the French wine estate Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey. Baernreuther’s departure as MD was reported by Just Drinks, a GlobalData brand.
