Toyota's new Chinese BEV integrates ROHM SiC MOSFET, enhancing range, performance, and traction

ROHM’s 4th generation SiC MOSFET bare chip is now in mass production for Toyota’s new “bZ5” BEV in China, enhancing range and performance. The power module with ROHM’s SiC MOSFET is crucial in the vehicle’s traction inverter. Mass production has started at HAIMOSIC (SHANGHAI), a joint venture between ROHM and Zhenghai Group. ROHM is also working on 5th, 6th, and 7th generation SiC MOSFETs for future advancements. Toyota Europe and VDL Groep have introduced fuel cell trucks for zero emissions logistics. FAW Toyota launched the competitively-priced bZ5 SUV in China to expand presence in the NEV market.
