In afternoon trading, Technology & Communications stocks are up by 0.4%, with Monolithic Power Systems Inc (MPWR) and Qualcomm Inc (QCOM) leading the way, gaining 4.1% and 2.9% respectively. The Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) is up 0.8% on the day and 16.19% year-to-date, with MPWR up 50.89% YTD and QCOM up 21.70% YTD.

The Healthcare sector is up by 0.2%, with Insulet Corp (PODD) and ResMed Inc. (RMD) showing gains of 7.4% and 5.1% respectively. The Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) is flat on the day and up 14.71% YTD, with PODD down 10.57% YTD and RMD up 38.89% YTD. PODD and RMD make up around 0.8% of XLV’s holdings.

Comparing S&P 500 components, the Technology & Communications sector is up by 0.4%, Healthcare is up by 0.2%, while Energy is down by 1.0%. Monolithic Power Systems Inc and Qualcomm Inc are leading the way in the Technology sector, with gains of 4.1% and 2.9% respectively. Insulet Corp and ResMed Inc. are the notable gainers in the Healthcare sector, showing gains of 7.4% and 5.1% respectively.
