VinFast opens first dealership in California, offering electric SUVs, aiming to expand US presence

VinFast, an electric vehicle manufacturer, has opened its first authorised dealership in California, located in San Diego. The dealership is part of the Sunroad Automotive Group and will offer VinFast’s electric SUVs, the VF 8 and VF 9, starting this month. It will also provide after-sales services, reflecting VinFast’s commitment to the US market.

VinFast’s transition to a franchise dealership model across all 50 states aims to enhance business efficiency. With over 30 authorised dealerships in 15 key states, including Texas and New York, VinFast is strategically expanding its presence in the US market. The company’s competitive pricing and warranty policies demonstrate its commitment to the green transition.

VinFast San Diego general manager Paul Fillmore expressed pride in being VinFast’s first dealership partner in California. He believes in the brand’s potential to make a significant impact in the North American market. The VF 8 starts at $39,900, while the larger VF 9 starts at $62,900, offering customers affordable options with long-term warranties for non-commercial use.
