Shares of Village Super Market, Inc. (VLGEA) have dropped 1.7% after reporting earnings for the quarter ended April 26, 2025, underperforming the S&P 500’s 1.1% gain. Sales rose 3.2% to $563.7 million, with net income increasing 24% to $11.2 million. Same-store digital sales surged 10%, while gross profit margin rose to 28.8%. Operating and administrative costs fell to 24.8%, and depreciation expenses rose due to capital investments. Management attributed positive results to digital sales growth and store remodeling. Village Super Market opened a new store in Watchung, NJ, aiming to enhance customer experience and drive foot traffic.
