VO Draws $1.1B Monday as Ceasefire Hopes Boost Markets

The Vanguard Mid-Cap ETF (VO) saw an inflow of $1.1 billion, raising its assets under management to $81.6 billion. This surge coincided with a 317-point rise in the Dow Jones Industrial Average following reports of Iran seeking a ceasefire in exchange for nuclear talks flexibility.
Other ETFs also saw significant inflows, including the Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) with $808.9 million, SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF (SPLG) with $459.9 million, Vanguard Total International Bond ETF (BNDX) with $401.4 million, and Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) with $353.3 million.
Conversely, some ETFs experienced outflows, such as the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) with $5.1 billion, iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) with $4.7 billion, and iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) with $940.1 million.
Overall, U.S. equity ETFs saw net outflows of $7.6 billion despite the market rebound, while international fixed-income ETFs gained $549.3 million. Commodities ETFs attracted $294.6 million, and currency ETFs pulled in just under $266 million. ETFs collectively lost $6.8 billion for the day.
