Wheat prices are up, with Chicago SRW futures 12-14 cents higher. Kansas City HRW contracts gained 11-12 cents, and Minneapolis spring wheat closed 8-9 cents higher. The USDA reported winter wheat harvest at 10% complete, behind the 16% average. French soft wheat ending stocks were trimmed, and EU wheat exports lag last year’s numbers.

Markets will be closed on Thursday for Juneteenth, with government reports pushed back a day. Algeria purchased 550,000-570,000 MT of wheat in a tender. Jul 25 CBOT Wheat closed at $5.49, up 12 1/2 cents. Sep 25 KCBT Wheat closed at $5.62 1/2, up 11 3/4 cents. Sep 25 MGEX Wheat closed at $6.44 1/4, up 8 1/4 cents.
