At the halfway point of the year, many companies are paying out dividends. British American Tobacco paid 60p on May 7, Schroders paid a final dividend of 15p on May 8, and Lloyds Banking Group paid a final dividend of 2.11p on May 20. Croda and Reckitt Benckiser also made dividend payments in May.
Looking ahead, four stocks will pay dividends in June. Admiral and Unilever will both pay dividends on June 13, while Imperial Brands and Intertek will pay dividends on June 30. Admiral will pay a £1.21 final/special dividend.
Unilever’s dividend will be the same in euro terms but slightly higher in sterling terms due to currency movements. Imperial Brands pays dividends quarterly, with the next payment scheduled for June 30. Half-year results were released on May 14, with the half-year dividend increased to 80.16p.
Intertek, a quality assurance company, will pay its final dividend on June 20 and its interim dividend on Oct. 7. Half-year results will be published on Aug. 1. To make it on the dividend screen list, companies need a Morningstar Economic Moat Rating, pay a dividend, and have a forward yield of 3% or more.
