RippleX released version 2.5.0 of “rippled,” the XRP Ledger’s reference implementation, with amendments expanding functionality and governance tools. Seven new amendments, including TokenEscrow and Batch, are open for voting under the XRP Ledger’s amendment process, enabling protocol changes after two weeks of support from trusted validators.
The AMMv1_3 amendment tightens risk management at the protocol level with invariant checks for automated market makers. Fixes EnforceNFTokenTrustlineV2 and PayChanCancelAfter address NFT and expired payment channel loopholes, ensuring NFTs can’t be sent to unauthorized individuals and preventing creation of old payment channels.
The update enhances transaction relay logic, network I/O capacity, and multi-signature simulation accuracy. RippleX urges validators to upgrade to ensure service continuity. The release aligns with XRPL’s evolution into a more flexible, permission-aware platform catering to DeFi and compliance-conscious enterprise developers.
