Global actively managed exchange-traded funds reached a record $1.5 trillion in assets in June, with $46.8 billion in monthly inflows. Year-to-date flows hit $267 billion, up 26.7% from 2024. The industry has seen 63 months of consecutive net inflows from 3,805 funds across 42 exchanges in 33 countries.

Equity-focused active ETFs attracted $24.7 billion in June and $149 billion year-to-date, surpassing 2024 figures. Fixed-income active ETFs saw $20.5 billion in June inflows, totaling $102.6 billion this year. The top 20 active ETFs collectively gathered $19.7 billion, with JPMorgan Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF leading.

Market performance fueled the flow surge, with the S&P 500 rising 5.1% in June and developed markets outside the U.S. increasing 3.2%. Emerging markets gained 4.8% for the month. Year-to-date inflows of $267 billion have broken previous records, indicating growing investor confidence in active management strategies within the ETF structure.
