Airbus faces a backlog of 60 aircraft waiting for engines, but remains on track to deliver 820 jets this year. Engine makers have promised support to meet delivery goals despite delays from suppliers CFM and Pratt & Whitney. Airbus burned through 1 billion euros more cash than expected in Q2.

An agreement to avoid U.S. tariffs on European aircraft is welcomed by Airbus. The deal with Spirit AeroSystems, divided between Airbus and Boeing, awaits regulatory approval but has not impacted finances significantly. Airbus plans to absorb Spirit’s wing production for the A220 and other assets. Plans for an A320-family assembly line in China are on track.
