Amazon's Prime Day spurs competition from major retailers with their own sales events
Amazon’s Prime Day runs July 8–11, its longest yet, with major deals across tech, home, and back-to-school items. The company aims to boost sales and Prime memberships during a slower retail season.
Rivals are reacting fast. Target kicked off Circle Week on July 6, offering up to 40% off select categories. Walmart follows with “Walmart Deals” from July 8–13, giving Walmart+ members early access on July 7.
Best Buy and Kohl’s are also launching sales this week, turning July into a competitive mid-year shopping surge.
