ArcBest CEO Judy McReynolds will retire at year-end, with President Seth Runser to take over on Jan. 1. McReynolds will remain chairman. She’s led ArcBest for 28 years, doubling annual revenue to $4 billion. Runser, with 18 years at the company, will also join the board in January.

Runser, who started as a management trainee, led ABF Freight before becoming ArcBest’s president in August 2024. ArcBest sees him as a key leader in fostering innovation and customer-centric approach. Recent leadership changes include Mac Pinkerton joining to fix asset-light logistics business and Eddie Sorg as new chief commercial officer.
