India’s Bikaji Foods International (BFIL) partners with Chaudhary Group in Nepal to expand its snacks and sweets products. The joint venture aims to capitalize on Nepal’s growing FMCG sector, worth over a billion dollars with 20% annual growth. BFIL and CG Foods will equally own and operate a manufacturing facility in Nepal.
BFIL’s managing director, Deepak Agarwal, sees this partnership as a pivotal milestone in Bikaji’s global growth journey. The collaboration with CG Group aims to deliver high-quality, affordable products to resonate with Nepalese consumers. Beyond commerce, the joint venture seeks to empower communities, fortify supply chains, and enhance Nepal’s food ecosystem.
CG Foods director, Varun Chaudhary, emphasizes the collaboration’s commitment to bringing world-class food innovation to Nepal. The partnership with Bikaji aims to generate employment, strengthen supply chains, and accelerate Nepal’s food sector. This joint venture sets new benchmarks in quality and accessibility, focusing on long-term value creation for Nepal.
BFIL’s recent deal-making includes acquiring a majority stake in Hazelnut Factory Food Products and a 55% share in Ariba Foods. In addition, BFIL purchased a 49% stake in Indian snacks maker Bhujialalji. This strategic expansion aligns with Bikaji’s mission to strengthen its brand presence and international growth strategy.
