BW Energy and NAMCOR E&P contract Deepsea Mira semi-submersible rig for drilling Kharas appraisal well on Kudu licence offshore Namibia in the Orange Basin. The drilling is scheduled for the second half of 2025 as part of a rig-sharing arrangement with Northern Ocean Ltd. and Rhino Resources Ltd. BW Energy holds a 95% working interest in the Kudu production licence, with NAMCOR E&P holding the remaining 5%. BW Energy is a growth E&P company with assets in Gabon, Brazil, and Namibia, targeting proven offshore oil and gas reservoirs for phased developments. Total net 2P+2C reserves and resources were 599 million barrels of oil equivalent at the start of 2025.
